Adamik Wins “Coup de Coeur” Prize at Vierzon Hackathon
Last weekend, our team had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Vierzon Blockchain Hackathon, where we built a pioneering solution that bridges traditional banking with the world of Web3. Competing in the Open Innovation Track, we showcased how our multichain mobile banking app, backed by our open-source, chain-agnostic back-end, can transform any app into a crypto-ready product. We’re thrilled to share that our project won the “Coup de Coeur” prize, a testament to our innovation and dedication.
The Challenge: Simplifying Blockchain Integration
Blockchain integration is notoriously complex, with challenges around protocol-specific infrastructure, protocol evolution, and scalability. Many SMEs lose valuable time and resources attempting to integrate blockchain, often facing substantial costs without scalable solutions. We set out to tackle this problem head-on.
CryptoPod: The Real Innovation
While our multichain banking app demonstrated what’s possible, the real innovation lies in CryptoPod, an open-source, fully configurable back-end solution that makes blockchain compatibility accessible to any application. CryptoPod simplifies the process of enabling crypto wallet functionality across multiple blockchains, all while remaining highly customizable. Have a look at our demo video to see it in action.
Key Features of CryptoPod:
Multi-Blockchain Support: Supports a wide range of blockchains, including Avalanche and its L1s, through the Adamik API.
Multi-Wallet Integration: Compatible with Wallet-as-a-Service providers like Fireblocks, Narval, and custom solutions, making it adaptable to various business needs.
Fully Configurable & Open-Source: Designed to be easily extended, CryptoPod allows developers to customize their KMS integrations as needed and can be deployed on-premise.
To showcase CryptoPod’s versatility, we developed an open-source Android app simulating a real-world banking use case, leveraging the CryptoPod back-end to demonstrate its potential.
Our Vierzon Hackathon Experience
The Vierzon Blockchain Hackathon was a fantastic event, filled with talented participants and inspiring industry leaders. We were thrilled to connect with major sponsors like Avalanche, Crédit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank, INSA Centre Val de Loire, Nomiks, B3 Village by CA Vierzon, POWER.xyz, ALGOSUP, CNAM, and Sia Partners. Special thanks go to Eric Larchevêque and Nicolas Bacca, co-founders of Ledger, whose presence catalyzed innovative discussions.
We also want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Narval and Avalanche teams for their invaluable support throughout the 48-hour hackathon. Their insights and encouragement fueled our success and helped us bring CryptoPod to life.
Looking Ahead
Winning the "Coup de Coeur" prize has inspired us to push the boundaries of blockchain integration even further. While we're uncertain about the future of CryptoPod, we remain committed to seeking innovative solutions. Our goal is not only to make Adamik blockchain-agnostic but also truly wallet-agnostic.
We're eagerly anticipating next year's Vierzon Blockchain Hackathon. Through events like these, we're confident that blockchain technology will become increasingly accessible and seamlessly integrated into everyday applications.
